Driving Inclusion in Victoria, One Swing at a Time

Belgravia Leisure golf course venues in Victoria have proudly rallied behind Golf for Good, a fundraising initiative designed to remove barriers and create more inclusive golf experiences for people of all abilities. Strongly aligned with the Belgravia Foundation’s mission to ensure everyone – without exception - can live an active and connected life, recent events at Spring Park and Yarrambat showcased the powerful role community can play in driving meaningful social impact.

At its heart, Golf for Good focuses on increasing access to golf for people who may face physical, financial, or social barriers. The initiative helps fund programs, spark awareness and create momentum such as:

  • All-abilities coaching clinics

  • Supported and inclusive mini golf tournaments

  • Adapted pathways into golf for people living with disability

  • Programs for individuals and community groups experiencing disadvantage

  • Women into golf initiatives creating new awareness and pathways to connect young women to golf, and each other

By leveraging the fun, familiarity and community appeal of golf, Golf for Good transforms a predominantly recreational activity into something more - a pathway for social connection and inclusion.

Spring Park Drives Early Momentum

Spring Park embraced the initiative with enthusiasm, hosting an uplifting event that saw over 30 members and guests hit the course for an 8am shotgun start. The morning was filled with connection, friendly competition and a shared commitment to supporting Belgravia Foundation’s work.

What made the event special wasn’t the scoreboard, it was the sense of purpose. Every player who turned up contributed to helping all abilities groups access golf programs across Belgravia Leisure. The mix of long-term members and casual social players created a welcoming environment that reflected the very values Golf for Good promotes; accessibility, belonging, and community.

“Golf For Good at Spring Park was a fantastic example of what our club and community can achieve when people come together behind a meaningful cause. Seeing over 30 members and guests show up and support the Belgravia Foundation speaks volumes about the culture we’re building here.”
— Dan Lee, Venue Manager at Spring Park

Yarrambat Turns Fun into Impact

Yarrambat Park Golf Course embraced the Golf for Good initiative with four lively mini golf events throughout February 2026, welcoming an incredible 300+ participants. The atmosphere was fun, social and family friendly, all centred around supporting a meaningful cause.

The funds raised will go directly towards supporting future Friday Fun Nights, helping the venue continue offering these accessible, inclusive evenings and events for people of all ages and abilities.

To further highlight the community impact, Venue Manager Matt Weisheit shared:

“Our Friday Fun Nights continue to grow in popularity, bringing together live music, food trucks and our nature-based Goanna Golf course to create a relaxed community vibe. This year, as part of our commitment to giving back, we donated proceeds to the Belgravia Foundation to help local people experiencing disadvantage enjoy the facilities at Yarrambat Park Golf Course.”
— Matt Weisteir, Venue Manager at Yarrambat Park Golf Course

Together, these events highlight the incredible impact that community driven initiatives can have in creating more inclusive pathways into golf. With venues like Spring Park and Yarrambat leading the way, Golf for Good continues to build momentum, opening doors for people of all abilities to stay active, connected and supported.
