What is CultureWise?

CultureWise is a free, online, self‑paced cultural awareness program created by Belgravia Leisure and supported by Belgravia Foundation. It builds understanding, confidence and cultural safety when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across aquatics, recreation, fitness, sport and tourism settings.

The course includes interactive learning activities, case studies, reflection prompts, and knowledge checks, and is accessible online for staff with varied digital literacy and cultural knowledge.

What will you learn?

The training program includes five key learning modules:

  • Completion will earn each learner 1 AUSactive CPD point

How to access CultureWise

  1. Click the ‘Start Now’ button below.

  2. From here, you will be encouraged to ‘Sign Up’ to Belgravia Foundations learning catalogue.

  3. Enter your email address, then set and confirm a password.

  4. A confirmation email will be sent to you from Belgravia Foundation- click the link in the email to confirm your account. Please note: If you have previously completed any Belgravia Foundation courses (such as MHeLP), you can use the same login details to access the learning catalogue. If you can’t remember your password, please select ‘Reset Password’ and follow the prompts.

  5. You will be directed to the learning catalogue homepage. Please select the CultureWise course.

  6. Enter your First Name and Last Name into the info screen and click the Save button.

  7. Complete CultureWise, ensuring you complete both the Pre‑ and Post‑Surveys to help us refine and improve the course.
