Belgravia Foundation celebrates Sheri’s 30 year commitment to Wollondilly Community Leisure Centre

2023 marks a momentous occasion at the Wollondilly Community Leisure Centre as Sheri celebrates 30 years of unwavering dedication and growth within the facility. As a cherished member of staff, Sheri's impact reaches far beyond her lifeguarding duties. Colleagues and community members hold her in high regard, recognizing her exceptional work ethic and the invaluable contributions she has made to the venue's vibrant atmosphere. A Lifeguard's Journey 

Sheri's journey at Wollondilly Community Leisure Centre has been a testament to her reliability, commitment, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Thomas Johnson, the Aquatic Operations Coordinator, shares, "As an employee who has been at Wollondilly Community Leisure for over three years now, it is an absolute delight to work with Sheri. Sheri is a worker who always turns up on time, listens to directions, and diligently follows through with tasks. She is always willing to give a hand to anyone needing help. Sheri's continued effort as a lifeguard is admirable, and as an employee at Belgravia Leisure, she has flourished in lifeguarding and has also taken on the new challenge of swim teaching." 

 

Embracing New Opportunities 

Sheri's 30-year tenure has seen her witness countless transformations within the venue. Dale Rutledge, the Community Engagement Coordinator, shares her excitement for Sherri's recent accomplishments, stating, "Sheri has been an employee at Wollondilly Community Leisure Centre for 30 years. During this time, Sheri has seen many changes to the venue. She is a diligent and reliable lifeguard who is loved by staff and customers. With the support and encouragement of the management team at Belgravia Leisure, Sheri has had the opportunity to be trained in another area of the aquatic industry. Recently, she successfully completed her learn to swim course and will soon begin training to become a learn to swim teacher. I'm really excited to see Sherri expanding her knowledge and can't wait to see her teaching swimming lessons." 

 

Sheri's Reflections 

With immense gratitude, Sheri reflects on her remarkable journey, "Over the 30 years that I have been working here, I have enjoyed working with a variety of different people and meeting many families and members who have become friends. Some of the friendships have lasted more than 20 years. I have really enjoyed being part of the Wollondilly team, and the teamwork makes me very happy. It puts a smile on my face coming to work every day."
