A local champion at Redcliffe War Memorial Pool

At Redcliffe War Memorial Pool, they have the privilege of being part of a vibrant community that values inclusivity, actively seeks to remove barriers, and celebrates diversity. Through their commitment to community, they've had the pleasure of meeting extraordinary individuals who embody these principles in every sense. One such remarkable person is Taimani.

Redcliffe’s first interaction with Taimani was as an athlete. She proudly represented the Moreton North Special Olympics Squad in the pool. But Taimani's connection to our pool goes far beyond being an athlete. She is a shining example of the power of determination and the spirit of giving back.

Taimani, a student at the Redcliffe Special School, holds the esteemed position of School Captain. Her leadership skills have not gone unnoticed. In fact, they've been put to great use in her role as a Learn to Swim Teacher at Redcliffe. In this capacity, Taimani has become a source of inspiration for her students, their parents, and all of Redcliffe’s team members. Her determination and courage have made her a beloved role model at the pool.

But Taimani's community involvement doesn't stop here. She's also stepping into the role of Customer Service Officer, where she's working diligently to learn the skills needed for excellence in the role and make a positive impact on the pool‘s operations. Her passion for swimming and teaching is evident in everything she does.

Taimani is set to play a pivotal role in helping Redcliffe develop sensory lessons and create a swim group specifically tailored to those who have varying learning needs. Her insights and dedication are invaluable as Redcliffe continuously welcome, support and include all, regardless of their characteristics, backgrounds or experiences, so everyone can access and enjoy the benefits of swimming and aquatic activities.

Belgravia Foundation and Redcliffe couldn't be prouder of Taimani and her remarkable achievements. She's not just a member of the team; she's a become a local champion. Her story exemplifies Redcliffe’s commitment to inclusion, breaking barriers, and fostering a diverse workforce.
