Belgravia Foundation partners with Belgravia Group for the Belgravia Cup

On Friday 17th February, Belgravia Foundation were thrilled to partner with Belgravia Group for a day of fun golf participation at the annual Belgravia Cup. Held at the scenic Moonah Links Golf Course on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, 100 players played 18 holes of golf while networking and raising money for a good cause.

Despite challenging conditions, players enjoyed the event, and quickly rehydrated after returning to the Club House for lunch and a refreshing drink.

Throughout the round, players always look forward to Belgravia Cup classics like nearest to the pin and longest drive, but Belgravia Foundation introduced new activities through the course to get the competitive juices flowing. Activities included:

  • King pin

  • Putting challenge

To be entered into the activities, and eligible for a prize, players donated to Belgravia Foundation. The total amount raised from player donations was approximately $1,600. Their generous contribution will support future golf initiatives for under-represented groups to ensure no one misses out on the opportunity to participate through programs like Keilor Park Golf Course’s All Abilities Program, Valley View Golf Course’s Blind & Vision Impaired Program and Yarrambat Park Golf Course’s Rainbow Event

Geoff Lord, Chairman of Belgravia Group, hosted the event, and praised all for their wonderful support of Belgravia Foundation. Wonderful support on the day came from Belgravia Leisure Mornington Peninsula team members Ben Walker (Area Manager), Dan Andrews (Manager, Yawa) and Miranda Doherty (Community Engagement Coordinator), and Jack McDonald (Golf Specialist) who superbly led the on-course fundraising activities.

Belgravia Foundation would like to thank Belgravia Group for the invitation to be a part of the day and a BIG thank-you to everyone that donated to help make golf an activity that everybody can participate, so no one misses out.
