SWELL Palmerston swimming and fitness centre is located approximately 22 kilometres southeast of Darwin CBD in the Northern Territory. The centre is a hub for Palmerston City and surrounding communities, offering a range of health and fitness programs.

In October, Swell Palmerston hosted their first Courtside Carnival, aiming to connect the community to leisure. The family event went from 5.00 pm – 8.00 pm and included free entry, virtual gaming, 3 x 3 basketball, some pool inflatable fun, BBQ dinner and free Streets Paddle Pop to the first 100 attendees.

Swell Palmerston collaborated with Belgravia Leisure, Belgravia Foundation, PaRBA, Made Concepts and several local organisations to bring the Courtside Carnival Concept to life.

Belgravia Leisure State Manager SA/NT, Catherine Foreman congratulated the local team and partners saying, “It was incredible to see the ‘Courtside Carnival’ we proposed at SWELL Palmerston come together beautifully on the weekend thanks to the hard work on the ground by Venue Manager, James Verdon and his team. It was a great partnership with local organisations to support our community coming together for a fun evening that the whole family could enjoy.”
