Together we thrive at the 2024 Inspiration Breakfast

Belgravia Foundation recently hosted its seventh annual Inspiration Breakfast, a heartwarming event dedicated to raising funds for programs that empower people of all abilities to access sport, leisure, fitness, health, and recreation experiences. Held on Thursday, 8th February 2024, the event garnered overwhelming support, raising funds to support the Foundation's groundbreaking initiatives, including Immersion Therapy.

This year's breakfast, themed "Together We Thrive," celebrated the power of collaboration and partnership in ensuring inclusivity and access for all in leisure activities. With over 240 attendees, the event was emceed by Olympic Gold Medalist and Belgravia Foundation Board Member, Brooke Hanson, adding a touch of inspiration to the proceedings.

A highlight of the breakfast was the introduction of presenters Wishy Murimba (Community Engagement Coordinator, Belgravia Leisure), Ernest Kulauzovic (Community Engagement Coordinator, Belgravia Leisure), Ross Sharer (Venue Manager, Belgravia Leisure), and Chris Kerrisk (Co-Founder, Cérge). These individuals shared insights into recent partnership programs and initiatives aimed at breaking down barriers and ensuring that no one misses out on accessing community facilities, programs, and employment opportunities.

Chris Kerrisk specifically spoke to the wonderful inclusive communication technology called Cérge. Cérge has had a huge impact on communities throughout Australia and New Zealand, through partnership with Belgravia Foundation and Belgravia Leisure. Among the esteemed attendees were leading organizations and stakeholders in the health, sports and leisure sector, including Austin Health, Spinal Research Institute, Determined2, Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), Aquatics & Recreation Victoria (ARV), Aquatic & Recreation Institute NSW (ARI), AUSactive, and many more.
