Cérge Accessibiity Reaching Milestones

Cérge, in partnership with Belgravia Foundation and Belgravia Leisure, has reached a major milestone, with the accessibility technology’s tools now viewed over four million times across almost 100 venues.

The growth is particularly evident at a venue level. The top five Cérge-enabled Belgravia Leisure sites, including Keilor East Leisure Centre, WaterMarc, Stromlo Leisure Centre, Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, and Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre, have collectively recorded more than 1.3 million engagements. This demonstrates the crucial role of clear, inclusive information in supporting people to plan their visits with confidence.

The tools, designed to help people with disability “know before they go,” are fully integrated into the Belgravia Leisure website platform. Visitors can now access 360-degree virtual tours, sensory guides, audio guides, and communication boards directly on each venue page, without the need to navigate to external websites.

This integration has created a smoother, more inclusive digital experience. Previously, people seeking accessibility information were redirected to separate sites, which could cause confusion or deter participation. Today, all information is consolidated under a clear Accessibility tab, giving users confidence and control when planning visits to any of the 97 venues currently live with Cérge, with three additional sites in progress.

Dr Jeff Walkley, CEO of Belgravia Foundation, described the impact of the technology:

"This inclusive communication platform gives communities choice and control in how they engage with venues. It creates confidence, reduces uncertainty, and supports sustained participation. The information Cérge provides strengthens accessibility, improves digital responses, and ensures no one misses out when planning their visit."

Chris Kerrisk, co-founder of Cérge, highlighted the significance of the partnership:

"Direct integration of Cérge into the venue website means all essential information is in one accessible place. It represents a major step forward in digital inclusion and demonstrates a commitment to creating welcoming and equitable experiences for all visitors."

Beyond the technology, every view represents a person seeking reassurance, clarity, or support. It may be a parent wanting to understand the sensory environment before bringing a child, a person using a wheelchair checking the suitability of a venue layout, or someone living with anxiety who benefits from familiarising themselves with a space ahead of time.

Together, Belgravia Foundation and Cérge have developed a communications asset that removes barriers, builds trust, and enables people with disability to explore leisure, recreation, and wellness experiences with confidence. Plans are underway to implement Cérge across all year-round operated venues, with further expansion to seasonal sites, growing reach and impact across Australia and New Zealand.
