Belgravia Foundation highlights inclusive partnership that blossoms at Cleveland Aquatic Centre

Belgravia Foundation is proud to highlight the work being done at Cleveland Aquatic Centre (CAC), where an inspiring partnership between the venue, Redland City Council, and Myhorizon Horticulture is fostering an inclusive culture and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

This collaboration has proven to be a powerful force in both maintaining the beautiful grounds of CAC and providing sustainable employment for local individuals. Myhorizon, a not-for-profit organisation founded by local families in 1981, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by offering them access to meaningful employment. Since 2009, their Horticulture program has been empowering participants to earn a Certificate II in Horticulture, gaining both practical skills and confidence.

The results of this partnership are reflected in the impeccable standards of the grounds at CAC. The maintenance crew from Myhorizon consistently ensures the venue’s gardens and grounds are kept clean, inviting, and professionally presented. Venue Manager Gary Baldwin highlights, “The quality of their work is always to the highest standard, making our venue look clean and well-maintained. The team always arrives on time and delivers great value for money.”

This collaboration is not only about maintaining a stunning venue—it’s about creating a lasting impact in the community by championing inclusion and diversity. By choosing Myhorizon Horticulture, Cleveland Aquatic Centre is playing a pivotal role in providing opportunities that promote self-sufficiency and empowerment for individuals with disabilities.

Belgravia Foundation is pleased to recognise the dedication of the local team at CAC, who are making a difference in fostering a more inclusive, supportive, and sustainable environment for all. This partnership is an exemplary model of how businesses and communities can work together to support and uplift individuals of all abilities.
