Belgravia Foundation celebrate Belgravia Leisure making a groundbreaking pledge
Belgravia Foundation is thrilled to announce that Belgravia Leisure has become the second golf management company in Australia to sign the esteemed R&A Women in Golf Charter.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in promoting women's and girls' participation in golf across the nation, including at golf courses in Western Australia, South Australia, and Victoria.
Following GreenSpace Management's groundbreaking pledge last year, this Charter signing reinforces a shared vision of empowering women and girls to realize their full potential within the sport.
Belgravia Foundation and Belgravia Leisure have long been committed to creating opportunities that foster growth and inclusivity in all elements of leisure. Signing the R&A Women in Golf Charter formalises this commitment and continues efforts to make golf a game for all. Through this pledge, the focus remains on championing female leadership, increasing participation, and investing in community facilities that are welcoming and accessible to women.
Golf Programs Manager Jack McDonald shared, "This partnership with the R&A perfectly aligns with the company’s mission to create bespoke golfing opportunities for women and girls. The commitment is to ensure that all women have access to physical activity, social connection, and employment opportunities through golf."
Juliet Austin, Golf Australia's Relationship Officer – North/East Melbourne Metro, highlighted the collaborative process that shaped this action plan. “Belgravia Leisure’s pledge is an important step in making a lasting impact on their nine golf venues and ensuring that best practices are implemented to foster real change for women and girls in the sport,” Austin said.
This signing is more than just a commitment; it’s a call to action for creating lasting, positive change in golf. Together, with the support of the community, the goal is to build a more inclusive and empowering future for women and girls in the sport.
