Inspiring efforts for our Inspiration Breakfast

Over the past year, many of us have attended events online. Even if we prefer in-person events, it can be wonderfully simple to switch on a computer, click on a link, and be magically transported to a venue. However, this simplicity can disguise the amount of work that is required to stage some virtual events.

When Belgravia Foundation decided to hold this year’s Inspiration Breakfast online, it benefitted from a formidable team of women behind the scenes.

The event was attended by people from the leisure, sport and recreation industries in Australia and New Zealand. The key feature of the event was the launch of the Foundation’s online Mental Health e-Learning Program, MHeLP.

The team of Belgravia Group staff who ensured the event ran smoothly included Cherie Mills (Operations Assistant), Juliet Woodward (Media and Communications Officer), Brooke Lindsay (Digital Communications Producer), Isabella Andueza (Project Coordinator), Georgia Hall (Marketing Specialist) and Emma Lowe (National Access & Inclusion Coordinator).

Each team member played a vital role part in ensuring the breakfast - which featured both live and pre-recorded material - was streamed to the audience. Their many jobs included organising ticket registrations, promoting the event, filming, managing audio visual technology, juggling presenters in different locations, and managing audience interactions through a chat function.

Emma Lowe said, ‘The Belgravia Foundation Inspiration Breakfast is one of the highlights on the work calendar and it gives us the opportunity to work with powerhouse people who we don’t always get to collaborate with in our day-to-day roles.

This year provided an obstacle, as we needed to move the event online. The event ran smoothly because of the incredible planning and leadership across the whole team. Events like these remind me I work with some very talented people, who are supportive and challenge me through my own work to be the best I can be.’

Belgravia Foundation congratulates the team for their skill and leadership. The fact that much of their effort may have gone unnoticed in the background of the event shows how well they performed their roles!
