Natalie Vu joins Belgravia Foundation team
Belgravia Foundation is pleased to be hosting Natalie Vu, a third year Health Science student at Monash University completing fieldwork placement with Belgravia Foundation and Belgravia Leisure. Having studied Health Science for the past three years she has solidified her passion for helping people within the community to improve their health and selected her placement as a way to further enhance her education and commitment to helping others. Natalie is constantly driven to achieve her passion and would like to incorporate this into her future work as a health professional.
Natalie first started helping others in high school after becoming a member of the student representative council. Being a representative, she was able to connect with a lot of her peers and voice their concerns to the leaders of the school. As part of this committee, she also hosted many fundraisers throughout the school year to spread awareness about various health issues; both emerging and existing.
The health of people in disadvantaged communities is something that Natalie is extremely interested in. She has participated as a donor in World Vision’s ’40 Hour Famine’ on multiple occasions to help support the cause and raise further awareness about famine and poverty among her friends and family.
Natalie would like to pursue a career in public health and has enjoyed learning about the multifaceted nature of public health and its many areas of specialisation. She is currently unsure which field she would like to specialise in, however she has found health promotion to be particularly enjoyable.
Working with Belgravia Foundation and Belgravia Leisure will assist Natalie in developing real-world experiences. She is excited to be working on projects in an environment with other people who also strive to empower and help those in need.
